Main technical features:

Microstrip line combiner: adopts a planar structure;with the conductor layer located on one side of the dielectric substrate and the ground layer on the other side, forming an asymmetric transmission line. This design is easy to integrate into multi-layer printed circuit boards (PCBs), suitable for surface mount processes, and significantly reduces volume and weight. For example, in broadband applications, microstrip lines can expand their operating frequency range to 1-10 GHz while maintaining low insertion loss (<0.5 dB) by optimizing the thickness of the dielectric substrate and the width of the conductor.
Ribbon line combiner: A conductor is embedded between two grounding layers to form a symmetrical transmission line. This structure provides better electromagnetic shielding and anti-interference capabilities, suitable for high-power scenarios (such as 10-50 W continuous wave power), but it needs to be implemented through multi-layer board technology, which is costly. The enclosed environment of strip lines reduces signal leakage, improves isolation (>20 dB), and ensures signal purity between output ports.
Performance parameter characteristics:
Amplitude and phase balance: Microstrip line combiners achieve power consistency (amplitude balance ± 0.2 dB) and phase synchronization (phase balance ± 5 °) at each output port by precisely controlling the conductor width and dielectric parameters. The strip line combiner has better phase stability due to its shielding advantage, but requires complex debugging to match the amplitude accuracy of the microstrip line.
